Verde Bike Pole - City of New York
Fabian Monsalve from ONDA-ID and Mesve Vardar participated in the NYC Bike Stand competition with the Verde Bike Pole. Their approach highlighted the need for bike fixtures to be ubiquitous as users do not discriminate between official bike racks and happenstance objects. Proximity and visibility are key factors.
Under the name Verde, Fabian and Mesve conducted research into usability issues of current bike racks in New York and other cities. Concept developmen included rough prototypes and visual mash-ups.
